Taja was the last remaining horse from Larco Andalusians, near Warburg, AB. I spotted her ad while hanging out with my first baby in the truck for hours while Jayme set up some cattle corrals. Let’s just say one of us was happier with this outcome than the other.

At the time of purchase, we were hopeful that Taja was in foal. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and a rebreed the following year was unsuccessful. I had big plans of starting her, but as anyone with a young family will tell you, time is not the most abundant resource.
Taja is a very sensitive but sensible mare that will always try her best to please. She does require people to be present when working with her, and she is very in tune with their intentions. Her movement is dreamy, and I think she did a great job of passing her great qualities on to her first foal, Skylark. Skylark is sired by Marialva DC.
We have been hoping to raise a full sibling to Skylark, however we have encountered some breeding challenges. This led to our first experience with ICSI, and we were able to get some frozen embryos. With the other mares, we are not planning for a 2026 foal at this time, however if you are interested in an embryo, please feel free to contact us.
