This colt has shown an exceptional mind from the beginning, and paired with his spectacular movement I am really looking forward to his future as a riding horse.  He exhibits a bondable nature, always meeting me for attention, and hoping to be the one chosen when there is a halter involved.   I found that the quality that he showed from a young age really raised the bar in what I was looking for in any breeding program prospects.  

If the way he handled being ponied through the cows for the first time as a yearling is any indication, Lark is going to be an excellent riding horse. We ended up needing to get a less than cooperative cow in, meaning he had to lope along side Jerico, making sharp turns, being ok with the tractor moving quickly (sometimes directly towards us!), and he did all of this while keeping the lead line loose.

During the winter of 2025/2026 Lark had 27 rides put on him. He is a sensitive horse with a brain that likes to keep track of everything, but he is very willing. His sensitivity and natural athleticism had him following my body into bits of leg yield or shoulder in within his first few rides. Feeling his canter gives me goosebumps. Our goal moving forwards will be to continue building his confidence with exposure to life.
