This colt has shown an exceptional mind from the beginning, and paired with his spectacular movement I am really looking forward to his future as a riding horse.  He exhibits a bondable nature, always meeting me for attention, and hoping to be the one chosen when there is a halter involved.   I found that the quality that he showed from a young age really raised the bar in what I was looking for in any breeding program prospects.  

If the way he handled being ponied through the cows for the first time as a yearling is any indication, Lark is going to be an excellent riding horse. We ended up needing to get a less than cooperative cow in, meaning he had to lope along side Jerico, making sharp turns, being ok with the tractor moving quickly (sometimes directly towards us!), and he did all of this while keeping his lead line loose.

As time permits, we have been working towards starting Lark under saddle. Once again, his lovely mind has been showing through during his first couple times being saddled.

He stands just over 15hh as a long 2 year old.
