Stellar started out as a very self assured and bold colt.  I had visions of him racing around and raising all kinds of havoc at the vet clinic during Stella’s breeding appointments, so Wendy halter broke him for me before they came home.  We both thought he might be quite the cheeky guy, but as soon as the halter went on he was all business.  

He’s drawn to the chaos of my boys when they are playing, but is very well behaved around them.  My 4 year old has led him around the yard successfully.  He is a very classy gentleman, who loves to interact.  He usually calls as soon as he spots me anywhere in the yard, and always beats his mom to the fence for any possible attention.  Like a true gentleman, he is much too dignified to partake in “colty” behavior around people, and receives compliments on his good behavior out in public.  

With his dam being broke to both ride and drive, and his sire being evented successfully, I think that Stellar has both the mind and the athleticism to be successful in many potential directions.  I think he would enjoy taking on challenges with a partner looking for a best friend, and I believe that he would handle the competitive world well.  And let’s face it, who doesn’t want to be announced into the ring as riding Stellar J Bond!

Stellar loads well, halters with ease, and has been kept up to date on worming and farrier work.  He is registered as a Half-Bred with the Welsh Pony & Cob society of Canada.
